Wii had a great Christmas!

Christmas with no snow-what a concept! A concept actually that I love. The kids were actually able to ride their new scooters on Christmas Day. We had a wonderful holiday. We spent Christmas Eve with Kate, Brian and Kassidy. With the combined expertise of our two families we had an incredible meal in candlelight. I keep thinking they will stop inviting us over because of the wild kiddos but they assure me that they love it so I guess they are just gluttons for chaos. By the time we got home that night we had to arrouse the kids awake enough to set cookies out for Santa before they climbed the flight of stairs and 'fell' into bed like zombies. Who could ask for more out of their kids on Christmas Eve. We didn't hear them again until 7:00 the next morning-again who could ask for more? After stocking time they were able to open the scooters from Cole's parents, since everything else was connected together. Leif opened up present #1-Wii, from my parents, Macy opened up present #2-MarioKart and Gage opened up #3-Guitar Hero World Tour, from Santa. This was the fastest Christmas morning I have ever experienced but it was great. Leif and Macy helped Cole set up the video games while Gage enlisted my help opening his scooter. Then Leif and Macy played the video games while Gage rode his scooter around the house (There may not be snow outside but it is still cold in the mornings and I was not going to sit outside) Now it is days later and the Wii has turned out to be a very valuable thing in our house. The kids have certain chores and homework to do before they get to play and they have to be nice to eachother while they are playing it. It is miraculous! I think every parent needs something with this much strength in their house-or maybe everyone else does and I am the last one to catch on?! The next day Cole's parents surprised us with a visit-I think they needed to get out of the snow for a couple of days :) But it was a very welcome surprise and the kids were just blown away when they answered the door to find grandma and grandpa standing there! I certainly hope everyone had a wonderful season and we now look forward to exactly1 month of holiday/birthday free time (our bank accounts are excited).

Wii also had a good christmas, with a surprise from Santa. The kids were sore for the first few days from boxing. I have one birthday to go and then our accounts can take a rest until June--phew!

I miss the cali x-mas weather. We had so much snow up here.
We also have the wii, got it in Nov. and i have to agree that it works wonders on getting the kids to do what you say.

Hey no snow what's that about. I'm still digging out of my foot and a half I got on the 25th and 26th. That's SLC for you. I sure miss you guys up here. I knew Sherry and Jerry were coming down because Rich stopped by as he left and said they were headed out. Have fun. Take care. Hayley
