Macy Moo-Where are you?
So, Macy is staying with my sister up north for the next couple of days. If you go to her link-Kristen and Justin-you can see some pictures of her at their house. Kristen is getting a chance at 3 kids this week. Will it do her in or want her to have another one?? We'll have to wait and see. At any rate, it looks like Macy is having tons of fun even if she is running on fumes.

Thank Goodness for St. George
Oh, I am so thankful for being 40 minutes away from a place that is 25 degress warmer on any given day not to mention a place where we can escape snow covered grass and play ball at a park. Since today was President's Day we took off for this warmer destination and had a spectacular day. Our first stop was McDonald's ( so that the ride down could be pleasant ) then we went to the dinosaur tracks museum and saw all kinds of fossils and tracks. After this we drove around the temple which looked so much whiter against the bright blue sky. Then by unanimous vote we stopped at the park across the street from the temple and went down slides and played ball on grass (remember it's the soft green stuff usually found on the ground). Lastly, to get the kids to leave the park peacefully we went to get custard. On the way home the kids fell asleep and Cole and I decided that that had been a great day. Thank goodness for St. George!!

The park was absolutley packed. Everyone was itching to get outside!! By the way the temp was 67!!

Happy Valentine's Day to us!
So, yes I got a job. My thinking is that since Cole is off for the next few months why not let him stay at home with the kiddos and I will go back to the workforce for the time being. First of all, I am now a math aid for kids in grades 3-5. I have been 'cramming' for the last 24 hours trying to learn how to do 3-5 grade math. But the best part is that today when I left the house I left Gage and Macy puking and having diahrea each every 20 minutes. And no actually I didn't have any 'mommy' feelings of wanting to stay and comfort my children. I was already dressed nice and stayed on the other side of the house from them while I was getting ready to go. I think that if I was leaving them with a sitter I may have had some feelings going on but with Cole-nah. In fact the picture I had in my mind the rest of the day was what was happening as I was leaving. Macy was sitting on a big blanket in the living room with her tupperware bowl in her lap and was watching TV. Gage was standing in the kitchen sink because Cole was cleaning up puke on the kitchen floor while he was asking Gage 'Ah Gage do you stink again?-Buddy I just changed you.' When I got home from work we did the valentines for the kids and they each got a box of chocolates. We kept Gage's wrapped since he was not eating anything all day without disasterous results so when Leif left his on the couch I witnessed Gage run-no sprint-over to the box, rip the lid off and, honestly, throw one into his mouth. For the next 20 minuted Gage spent his time on a kitchen chair with chocolate dribbling down his chin and belly (because he had no clothes left and because it was a big freakin piece of chocolate) and then the next 3 minutes after that throwing his chocolate up into his tupperware bowl. Have you ever just been so hungry?? All are sleeping soundly now atleast until I decide to go to bed then they will be up every 45 minutes. That, right there, is parental knowledge coming out.

Bunco
I just wanted to let it get out there in the universe that I scored 7 Buncos tonight. Ya, that's right 7. Although I still didn't win the game I did come in second.

Did I mention Gage turned 2?
Why is it that at that magical age of 2 children change drastically? I mean overnight? How do they really know? Were they preprogrammed in the pre-existance with a timer which is set to go off at midnight? Well, regardless, Gage was for sure. My little guy is officially 2 and he celebrated his birthday his own way (because that is how he does things now-his own way and on his own schedule). So, that was it. Gage turned 2 on Saturday and Macy turns 4 on the 28th (princess party again anyone?)
