Easter Fun

We got together with my cousin and her family for Easter this year. Our kids get along so well and it turned out really fun. I am so glad it was nice outside and the grass is even beginning to turn green. The kids colored their eggs, thn we did an egg hunt, letting Gage and Micah go first of course, then we played games and had a BBQ, yes a BBQ-it was yummy and I waited so long for BBQ weather it was well worth it. Maybe in California I won't have to wait as long, hehehehe!

Don't you love how hard Macy is concentrating at coloring her egg, you can tell by the tongue sticking out!

Gage is trying really hard not to look at the camera
I think Leif is trying to trip Mckade but he too fast for the Leifer
That is just pure happiness on her face

Tricky, Tricky!

I actually have to say that I love St. Patrick's Day. It could even be my favorite holiday. I have always done something fun for it-treasure hunt to find gold, every meal being turned green, little green footprints all over the house, etc. but this year I totally forgot about it until Leif came out of his room at 9:30 the night before telling me that he had to make a trap for the leprachon this year. I told him to hurry and then thought crap, what will we do? So after he made his 'trap' (picture is above) I recruited Cole and we set to work making a trap of our own using little pebbles, and candy, then we cut out all of the little footprints (next year I am going to cut, laminate, and save them because it is getting old) , then we dyed the milk green and hid the cereal and silverware. Needless to say, the kids were still excited about it and had no idea that their mom and dad were up LATE setting it up. But what are parents for if not to be the pretend character for endless holidays-I am writing this on Easter Day actually. Being a leprachon and Easter bunny all in the same week is tiring-whew!-but I love it!

A real Father

Cole achieved the title of real father of a daughter this week!

Last week in February

My life this last week can be best described through these photos. I chose not to publish a picture of Gage throwing up AGAIN! Below is just a picture of him drooling because his mouth is full of something.

Princess Party-again!

Double-decker castle cake-of course!
Patiently waithing for her party to start!
Foam crowns
Beading jewelery
Macy is now 4. Her birthday was on Thursday and she had a 'royal' time. We had another princess party and I don't think it is the last either. I was worried that she wouldn't have any friends at her birthday because we had just moved from New York and we wouldn't have met anyone yet, but that proved untrue. There was even another Maycee there to help her celebrate. I guess that when it comes to kids you only need 15 minutes in a place before friendships are made. The cake she picked out on her own in the Albertson's catalog. Thank you Albertson's for putting the double decker castles on the first pages of the catalog so it, therefore, is the first one she saw. The flat sheet-cakes didn't have a chance after she saw that one. We made foam crowns and bead jewelery for her party and the girls loved it-thanks to Mariam who designs watches (check out her web site at Lindamwatches.com ) and helped tie all the itsy bitsy little strings. She then blew out her candles and opened her gifts. She made a haul and now she is so busy during the day there is no more whining-ya right-if only! No really, she did have a great time and I am thankful to the friends we have met so far and the family that we are now close with again. Happy Birthday my princess!
